How should I Prepare for my Boudoir shoot?
Boudoir sessions are all about getting pampered, feeling empowered and falling back in love with yourself! It’s exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time, am I right?! Have no fear, I am here to help you have the best session. Here is a quick overview to help you prepare.
4-5 weeks before
This is the time to really start thinking about what you want your session to look like and what you want to wear. It’s the perfect time to take inventory of what you have in your closet and also the best time to GO SHOPPING! Who doesn’t like a new outfit? Make sure it’s something that you love and feel completely comfortable in. Try to narrow the picks down to 2-3 outfits.
The week of
The week to get yourself all pampered. Wax or shave and moisture. We all know how we feel with freshly shaved legs. SEXY! Treat yourself to a fresh mani and even pedi if you’d like. We want you to look and feel good. A good mani can make you feel on top of the world. Make sure to drink lots of water throughout the week-it will make your skin glow! Try to avoid alcohol as it dehydrates you. Avoid spray tans and tanning lotions. They create an orange glow that you do not want
Boudoir session day
Today is the big day! Make sure to eat a light meal that will make you satisfied but not bloated. Pack your boudoir bag (extra lingerie, makeup, a light snack, water, lotion, accessories that you want in your session). Moisturize your entire body and wear loose fitting clothing and undergarments to avoid impressions on your skin. Allow plenty of time to arrive so that you wont feel stressed when you get there. Make sure to relax and have fun! It’s finally time!!
