Miss W in the Outdoors!

This sweet client came to me with the idea to do an outdoor/hunting boudoir shoot. Not really my style, but I said I was down for anything and I have the PERFECT location for this and it turns out I FREAKIN love them!

We started out in the boudoir studio with some traditional shots before we moved outside.

The next shot was probably the most difficult because I normally don’t work with large, hand held props (and we had TWO of them), it was the middle of the day with harsh sun beaming down on us and, though I do practice archery on a crossbow every now and then, I am not a hunter. Nevertheless, as usual, we killed it.

Next up was the most important part of the session. This woman is a damn ROCK STAR! Her late husband was part of the military and passed away a few years ago. She continues to work closely with his troupe providing support and encouragement, meals, picnics, outings and most importantly she lends an understanding ear for each soldier when they are feeling down and hopeless. She’s a true patriot in every sense of the word and I just had to honor that.

It was so hot and bright that day, and I got bit by 1,000 bugs but it was totally worth it to boost this wonderful woman’s confidence and spend the day riding around the studio property in my old Jeep.

Since this is a bad bitch who likes the outdoors as much as I do, I drove us down to our private creek for a little creek & water boudoir.

I think the creek is my most favorite place to shoot on our whole property. It has these mysterious vibes and dappled lighting. Usually you would not want dappled light, but I like it when it’s done correctly.
